good morning jean, happy to hear these little pix of mine are part of your morning routine and that you are enjoying them! Maiine has a pretty short growing season so plants here have an incredible will to get growing... so it seems like it happens all too quick and then it's over. Taking these photos really seems to help me to slow it down in some way and enjoy it more. And I've got to get lots of images to take us through the long Maine winter!

Laurie, I wanted to pop in and let you now how much I'm still enjoying getting my daily blooms by RSS. When you stopped by my blog it reminded me that I owe you thanks for brightening up my mornings!

Leah - Great to have you visit the garden - happy you have enjoyed it! I have a lilac right outside my bedroom window - I've painted the walls a similar color and all the furniture in it shades of the same. It is very soothing. I always wondered why the fragrant ones were here and gone so quickly too. I learned it from a video in a newsletter from a floral design school about how to use lilacs as cut flowers. It was also interesting to see a video used in this format just after the talk about it in Bootcamp... another synchronicity! Stop by anytime you need a rest from blogging.

Cathy - I too have fond memories of lilies of the valley. Their fragrance takes me right back. Come visit again and linger anytime! (It is a nice respite from Bootcamp!)

Aileen - Thank you for visiting my garden... I have a small "hill" in my yard that we try to plant bulbs on every fall. Over the years I hope to have them naturalize. It is right by a little stream with a small waterfall nearby so it creates a lovely place to sit. Not as pretty while I can't mow after blooming time though. I love the daffodil too as well as many other bulbs. Some daffs are really fragrant too! Visit again!

Jane - thank you for visiting my flower garden. I agree that it isn't the easiest to navigate and I'll have to work on that. And also the subscribe button. After this weeks Bootcamp I now have quite a list of what to do. Come visit again.

Lilacs are my favorite! This is a really sweet collection. Flower-phile here! Love the forget me nots, and I know what you mean about what's left behind when the pears are done blossoming.

Also I didn't realize there was a reason why highly-fragrant flowers don't last very long. Now I do! :)

I could just linger here all day. Lilly of the valley remind me of my childhood and our walks to school. They covered a pathway. I can smell them now. Thanks for bringing that back.
